Model Railway Show

Our Model Railway Show returns on 10th May and 11th May at Leeming Bar Station! This weekend event will feature 2 days of trains big and small. We will have layouts of various gauges from N to O on display and trade stands in attendance. Hot & cold drinks and light snacks will be on sale from our static buffet coach and draft & bottled beer will be on sale on the platform.

The event will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Tickets can be bought online or on the day at the show. Entry to the model railway show costs £6 for adults and children under-16 are free.

In addition to the separate model railway show entry ticket, our full range of train travel tickets will be available. If you fancy spending the whole day riding our trains, choose the all-day train rover ticket for £25. Normal return fares and single fares are also available. And don't forget - children aged 3 to 15 travel for only £1 on our trains!!

All our weekend passenger services will be diesel loco-hauled! Don’t forget that children travel for only £1 on our scheduled train services too, so bring the whole family for a fun day out!

Our class 37 (37250), class 14 (D9513), class 14 (D9523) and class 03 (03144) diesel locomotives will be operating services between Scruton and Leyburn over the whole weekend. And the news that you have all been waiting for - 47714’s new livery will be revealed! The locomotive will be inside our shed, next to the model railway layouts and traders. Come and speak to a member of our Diesel Team who worked on the loco’s repair & repaint and learn more about the project.
